During my private practice as a counselor and teacher of metaphysical holistic growth, I found esoteric—meaning soul-centered—astrology to be the single most beneficial tool for self-understanding, spiritual growth, and life-planning. I interpreted what I called the SOUL MAP (based on the natal chart)—the map of the individual’s soul plans for this incarnation.
Before incarnating, each soul creates—in cooperation with his/her spirit teachers and guides—an overall plan for the upcoming lifetime based on the cumulative experiences and needs the soul has incurred in prior incarnations. While still on the inner planes, souls contract to assist each other in a variety of roles. The major goals for all of us are spiritual growth, karmic balancing, and service to others. Success in each incarnation is based on how well we achieve these soul goals—not on how much money we make or how famous we become on the physical plane.
As we approach 2012 and the opportunity to ascend in consciousness to the 4th and 5th dimensions, knowledge of self is the major prerequisite to move forward on your spiritual journey. In order to ascend, we must complete our soul lessons and balance at least 51% of our karma. Your astrological natal chart reveals who you are and why you have incarnated. It reveals the ways in which you can balance karmic debts and prepare for your ascension into Higher Consciousness.
Knowing the natal charts of your spouse/mate and children is an invaluable tool for creating the most beneficial, loving relationships and relating to each one as the unique individual he/she is.
I strongly encourage those in counseling/therapeutic professions to become familiar with the basics of esoteric astrology. Your clients’ difficulties will be reflected in their natal charts. The natal chart can offer therapeutic suggestions that you will not find in standardized tests. Often you will find that concerns which become obstacles in the satisfactory unfolding of the lives of your clients stem from soul memories of past life experiences. Esoteric astrology offers you insights into these soul memories.

The certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics is NOT your birth certificate; instead, it is evidence of the existence of your birth certificate.
CAUTION: Astrology is an exacting ancient science and an intuitive art. Should you be careless in reading the symbols & instructions, you may end up reading information that does not pertain to you. Take time to sit with your chart and that of your loved ones … listen as each one speaks truth to you.
ANOTHER CAUTION: Do not be overwhelmed by your natal chart. It is your Soul’s Plan for this entire incarnation. The goal for each of us is to complete the growth indicated; however, we always have the freewill choice to work on “our stuff” or to wait until another lifetime, when we feel stronger and more capable of doing so—there is no judgment. We all have “stuff” to work on—else we would have already stepped off the wheel of rebirth on Earth.
AND, because we have the opportunity to ascend en masse at the end of this World Age (2012), many of us took on a heavy load in preparation. Know that you are never allowed to take on more than you can accomplish successfully; but while on Earth, you may wonder, “did I really choose to take on all of this?” Yes, you did, but the reason you did so is that you were already an advanced soul and your spirit guides knew that you could be successful. So pat yourself on the back and move forward. YOU CAN DO IT!
